下面介紹利用介質壓力進行自緊的連接形式。它的密封圈裝在內錐體處，跟介質相向的一面成角度，介質壓力傳給內錐體，又傳遞給密封圈，在角度的錐面上，產生兩個分力，一個與閥體中心線平行向外，另一個壓向閥體內壁。後面這個分力便是自緊力。介質壓力愈大，自緊力也愈大。所以這種連接形式，適合於高壓閥門。它比法蘭連接，要節省許多材料和人力，但也需要的預緊力，以便在閥內壓力不高時，使用可靠。利用自緊密封原理做成的閥門，一般是高壓閥門。幹燥機具有耐高溫的特點，能夠使用高溫熱風對物料進行快速幹燥。結構簡單，操作容易，堅固，故障少。如使用排風大量循環，熱效率可達8%。廣泛地應用於化工、釀造、制造、制藥、肥料、城市污泥處理等方面。蒸發1kg物料水一般需水蒸汽1.2~1.5kg.6.沒有粉塵飛揚，噪音低，操作環境好，操作費用低。適用於粘性粥狀、漿狀物料，連續操作。通入冷卻介質即可對物料冷卻結片。滾筒幹燥機的工作原理濕物料進入幹燥器內，柴油機的排氣噪聲以及柴油機殼體輻射的噪聲。
